Appendix C

For IRAS Group ID – Applicable to IR8A/IR8S/A8A/A8B

1. Each user will belong to a Group ID.

More than one user can belong to the same Group ID.

The super user’s Group Id (which is Group ID = Space and User Type = Administrator) will have access to all records created regardless of any Group Id.

For example:

John handles non-executive level employees.

Nick handles executive level employees.

Willy handles the input for Director’s Fees only.

Tom handles the input for Bonus only.

For John, Nick, Willy and Tom, each user can only see those Batches created by himself.

Ronnie can see all the Batches of information created by everyone.

Scenario :

• John imports/creates employees 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.  Saved as Batch #1 and sent Batch #1 in day 1.

• Nick imports/creates employees 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Saved as Batch #2 and sent Batch #2 in day 2.

• Willy does an Amendment to fill-up Director’s Fees for employee 8. Saved as Batch #3 and sent Batch #3.

• Tom does an Amendment to fill-up Bonus for employees 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9.  Saved as Batch #4 and sent Batch #4.

Illustration:

• John can only see records created by him, i.e. Batch #1 and can only send Batch #1.

• Similarly, Nick, Willy and Tom can only see records created by themselves.

• Ronnie can see all records created by everyone, i.e. Batch #1, Batch #2, Batch #3 and Batch #4.

• The user will only see the Batch No., Basis Year, Status and Total Employee belonging to his Group ID when he chooses the Update, Browse, Print and Delete options from the menu. 

2. The user will only see the Employee’s ID No, Name, Designation and Status belonging to his Group ID in the pop-up window for selection when he clicks Add New on the Amendment, Create and Update page.

    

3. Because of the nature of the Group ID function, there is a constraint to link the IR8S, A8A and A8B buttons in the IR8A form. There will not be any buttons to link to IR8S, A8A and A8B from IR8A.
