A Group ID is used in CPF application for classifying employees under various groupings, and provides rights for a specific administrator to key in CPF information for a specific set of employees. This is a compulsory field that is required in creating during an Initial Company Profile Setup, under the Employee Group section. The purpose of this is to enforce a level of security and confidentiality.
For example: Group ID 01 – Handles top management, 02 – Handles project developers
Messages that are created under 01 are accessible only to users with a 01 group ID.
